Chemical Liquid Small Scale Lab Spray Dryer

Spray dryer is a drying equipment that converts liquid materials into dry powder through spraying. It is widely used in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries. The basic principle of spray dryer is to atomize liquid materials into fine droplets through nozzles, and quickly evaporate water under the action of hot air to finally form dry powder.

Working principle of spray dryer

  • Feeding system: Liquid materials enter the spray dryer through the feed pump.
  • Atomization system: The material is atomized into tiny droplets through a high-pressure nozzle or a rotary atomizer.
  • Drying system: Hot air is heated by a heater and evenly distributed in the drying tower through an air distributor. The atomized droplets evaporate quickly in the hot air to form dry powder.
  • Collection system: The dried powder is collected by a cyclone separator or a bag dust collector, and the exhaust gas is discharged through the exhaust system.

Advantages of spray dryer

  1. High efficiency: Due to the large surface area of the droplets, the water evaporates quickly, so the drying efficiency is high.
  2. Uniformity: The particles of the dried product are uniform and the quality is stable.
  3. Wide applicability: Suitable for various liquid materials, including solutions, suspensions and paste materials.
  4. Strong controllability: By adjusting parameters such as feed speed, atomization method, hot air temperature, etc., the moisture content and particle size of the product can be accurately controlled.

Application areas of spray dryer

Food industry: used for the production of milk powder, coffee, condiments, egg powder, etc.

Pharmaceutical industry: used for the production of medicines, vitamins, antibiotics, etc.

Chemical industry: used for the manufacture of dyes, pigments, ceramic materials, etc.

Other fields: such as the production of pesticides, feed, flavors and fragrances, etc.
